H.R.1728

House Committee ADOPTS Legislation for Home Inspection Counseling
(Washington, D.C.)  — The U.S. House of Representatives committee charged with solving the home mortgage/foreclosure/credit crunch crises has added home inspection counseling provisions to the Predatory Lending Bill, HR1728.

We believe this is a key element in solving a good percentage of foreclosures due to the fact that had the homebuyer discovered problems during the home inspection process they could have avoided or made concessions for many problems thereof. 

If the bill becomes law as expected, we plan to work closely with HUD to implement the housing counseling provisions, including providing technical assistance in drafting the language for the new booklet and how to maximum the outreach efforts to the public.
